As photographers, it is easy to become so focused on capturing the image we have in mind that we forget to appreciate the privilege of being outdoors, exploring the beauty that surrounds us. I have come to realize that returning home without the shot can still be a success. A success because you tried.
As I often tell my son, "The winner is the one who tries."
The collection below is a blend of luck, patience, and planning. Yet every image shares one thing in common: it is part of my ongoing journey to capture wildlife within its natural context. More and more, I strive to create photographs that convey not only the subject itself, but also the atmosphere, the environment, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world we are fortunate to share—and that we all have a responsibility to cherish and respect.
This is a continuous journey, and my focus now is to create images that complement and expand this collection of "Context."
