Finally, summer is here again! This year, we decided to start our vacation two weeks earlier than usual and head straight to Norway. After a 6–7 hour drive from Gothenburg, you reach the stunning mountain landscapes of southern Norway.
As always, I spent my late evenings, early mornings, or sometimes both, searching for wildlife. Our vacations are all about combining relaxation, hiking, and, whenever possible, creating opportunities for wildlife photography.
We spent a total of 10 days in Norway on the first leg of our summer adventure, and it turned out to be an unforgettable trip. The highlights included a surprise encounter with an Arctic fox, finally getting quality time with the Eurasian dotterel, and, perhaps most special of all, sharing a magical moment with our five-year-old son as we slowly approached a golden plover together.
But Why not 10 more days in norway? Yes, we decided to go back on july again mainly to relax by beautiful lakes and rivers. but the birds did for a few occasions put on a show with the highlights this time being a brief moment with a bluethroat, golden light with golden plovers and a redshank by one of our camping spots.
